Devotion to the Holy Face
One of the oldest devotions in Christian tradition, the Devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus is a powerful prayer practice rooted in reparation for sin and blasphemy. Loved and promoted by saints such as St. Augustine, St. Bernard of Clairvaux, St. Gertrude the Great, St. Bonaventure, and St. Thérèse of Lisieux, this devotion has touched the hearts of the faithful for centuries.
In 1844, Our Lord appeared to Sr. Mary of St. Peter, expressing His desire that the world embrace this devotion to honor His Holy Face. Through the efforts of Sr. Mary, Ven. Leo DuPont, and many others, it has become a cherished form of prayer and remains especially needed today.
This booklet offers prayers, history, and inspiration to foster love for Christ’s Holy Face and to encourage reparation for the sins of the world.
A timeless devotion that draws the faithful into deeper union with the suffering Christ and the glory of His Resurrection.
